Family Service Center Has Great Educational Opportunities
Our mission calls for the Family Service Center to be a leading resource for providing education, consultation and psychotherapy to those who live, work or attend school in the communities of Glenview, Kenilworth, Northbrook and Wilmette. As part of the goal, we offer a number of educational programs to the community to address topics of current interest and importance.

Impact of Divorce Throughout Childhood

In the short run, a divorce produces powerful and predictable symptoms in children no matter their age. However, in the long run, it is the family style that determines the children's response and resilience. This important topic will be the subject of a discussion by a panel of professionals who observe and work with with children and families experiencing divorce in their lives. The discussion panel will be moderated by Anita Gerber, LCSW and Beverly Shurman Lavitt, LCSW of Family Service Center and will include social worker:
